We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and welcoming school community based in Cramlington, Northumberland. You will work closely with class teachers to support the learning, development, and wellbeing of pupils across the primary age range. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about education and helping children reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities
- Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning
- Assist in preparing classroom materials and resources
- Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Support pupils with additional needs, ensuring inclusive participation
- Supervise pupils during break times, trips, and school activities
- Contribute to maintaining a safe, positive, and stimulating environment
About You
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one
- Experience working with children, ideally in a school setting
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
