Spencer Clarke Group are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our clients community team. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in conducting Occupational Therapy assessments in the community, focusing on empowering individuals to achieve their goals and maximise their independence. Key responsibilities will include completing recommendations for Disabled Facilities Grants (DFGs), conducting complex moving and handling assessments, and evaluating housing options.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough Occupational Therapy assessments using the OT process: assessment, planning, intervention, and review.
• Work closely with service users and their families to identify their needs, priorities, and goals.
• Develop personalised intervention plans to promote independence in activities of daily living.
• Provide recommendations for Disabled Facilities Grants (DFGs) to improve accessibility and functionality within the home environment.
• Perform complex moving and handling assessments to ensure safety and reduce the risk of injury.
• Evaluate housing options to support individuals in living independently and comfortably.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to coordinate holistic care plans.
• Keep accurate records of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with relevant legislation and professional standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Valid registration with the relevant regulatory body (e.g., Health and Care Professions Council).
• Proven experience in conducting Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions, preferably within a community setting.
• Strong understanding of current relevant legislation and guidelines related to Occupational Therapy practice.
