As an Occupational Therapist with us, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing our person-centred approach to goal setting. Working closely with our interdisciplinary team, you'll help develop support plans tailored to individual needs, fostering independence and focusing on what matters most to our service users. From motivation and confidence building to practical assistance, you'll be instrumental in achieving better outcomes for our community.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with service users to identify goals and develop personalised support plans.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions and practical assistance to promote independence.
  • Work within the strength-based model, empowering individuals to maximise their potential.
  • Assess and address daily living tasks, personal hygiene, food preparation, and community access.
  • Ensure seamless integration with other services within Manchester Community Response (MCR), including Discharge to Assess, Crisis Response, and Intermediate Care.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and valid registration with relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Experience working in a community or reablement setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse populations.
  • Commitment to person-centred care and promoting independence.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
