A local NHS Trust we are currently working with are seeking an experienced Mortuary Anatomical Pathology Technologist to join their team in Croydon.
Band 5 Mortuary Anatomical Pathology Technologist
Rate of pay: £22p/h Umbrella (potentially negotiable)
Contract: 3 month initial contract with the view of extension
Location: Croydon
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
Key Responsibilities:
- To run a safe, secure, effective and comprehensive mortuary and post mortem service.
- Maintain consent forms and other documentations to a high standard.
- Prepare the deceased for formal identification and viewing by relatives.
- Engage in all aspects of the technical work of the autopsy room as requested by the pathologist on duty including, post mortem provisions, reconstructions, etc.
Requirements:
- Certificate/Diploma in Anatomical Pathology Technology or extensive experience carrying out the duties of an anatomical pathology technician.
- Knowledge of current Mortuary practice.
