An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Credit Controller to join a vibrant business in the Nelson area on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract

As the Credit Controller, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the Finance, Operations and Sales Teams on a day to day basis, providing a critical function

About the role

Based in Nelson, you will be responsible for: 

  • Managing a aged debt ledger for wide range of B2B customers
  • Chasing customers for payment via various communication methods, primarily phone and email.
  • Taking, allocating and reconciling payments
  • Performing credit checks for customer accounts
  • Maintain and develop excellent relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

About you

The ideal candidate for this position must have:

  • At least two years' experience within a credit control role, or have relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail when dealing with payments and allocating cash.
  • Proactive self-starter who is motivated to get the job done.

What’s on offer

  • Salary: £27,000 - £30,000
  • Benefits: 33 days holiday inc of bank holidays, discretionary annual company bonus, team building days, Christmas closure
  • Contract type:12 month contract with potential for a permanent role
  • Hours: 39 hours per week with an early finish on a Friday!
