Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Monitoring & Responding Officer for a Local Authority Client based in North London.
As a Monitoring and Responding Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable service users across the borough.
About the role:
You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:
- Answer and respond to emergency calls from vulnerable service users using the Answerlink call monitoring platform.
- Identify and arrange appropriate interventions and support to ensure the well-being of service users.
- Visit service users' homes to assist with emergencies and provide necessary support.
- Assess service users' needs, conditions, and provide or source the support required for their well-being.
- Undertake general maintenance of equipment, such as battery changes and addressing minor faults or failures.
About you:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Experience working within an emergency call monitoring centre, preferably with vulnerable service users.
- Understanding of safeguarding requirements and the ability to build rapport with individuals in difficult circumstances.
- Skills in conducting risk assessments, identifying potential hazards or vulnerabilities, and implementing risk mitigation strategies to ensure the safety of service users and staff.
What’s on offer
Salary: £17.50+per hour
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: 37 hours per week
- This is a 24/7 service and shift arrangements are 7am to 3pm, 3pm to 11pm and 11pm to 7am 7 days week.
