Level 2 Teaching Assistant (Part-Time/Full-Time)

Are you passionate about supporting children and have a Level 2 qualification in education?

We're looking for a dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our growing team in Blackburn. This exciting role offers the flexibility of part-time or full-time hours, allowing you to make a real impact in the lives of young learners across local schools.

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with teachers to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment for students.
  • Provide individualised and small group support, catering to specific needs within your chosen age group (please specify in your application).
  • Assist with lesson preparation, resources, and effective classroom management.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (experience highly desirable).
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents/carers, and teachers.
  • Actively participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

What We're Looking For:

  • A minimum Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (STLS) or a related field (e.g., childcare).
  • A genuine passion for working with children and a desire to support their educational journey.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
  • Experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEND) or behaviour management (highly desirable).
  • A DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
