Level 2 Teaching Assistant - Burnley Schools (Part-Time/Full-Time)

Do you have a passion for education and a desire to make a difference in the lives of children?

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team, supporting schools across Burnley.

About the Role:

You will work alongside qualified teachers, providing vital support to students in a variety of classroom settings.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering engaging and effective learning activities, tailored to individual needs.
  • Supporting with planning, preparation and marking.
  • Building positive relationships with students, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • You will ideally have experience working with students in your preferred age group (Early Years, Primary or Secondary).
  • While not essential, experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEND) or those with behavioural difficulties is highly desirable.

Essential Criteria:

  • A minimum Level 2 Qualification in a relevant field, such as Supporting Teaching and Learning (ST&L).
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • The ability to build rapport with students of all ages and backgrounds.
  • A passion for education and a desire to make a positive contribution.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience working in a school environment.
  • Experience supporting children with SEND or behaviour needs.
  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or a willingness to work towards one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
