1:1 Home Tutor - SEND Learners

Location: Rossendale and Surrounding Areas
Pay Rate: £27-£30 per hour
We are seeking experienced and dedicated 1:1 Home Tutors to support learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Rossendale and surrounding areas.
This role involves delivering personalised tuition in learners' homes and community settings such as libraries. Tutors must be comfortable travelling to and working within these environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality 1:1 tuition tailored to individual learner needs.
• Plan, prepare and adapt lessons to meet SEND requirements.
• Assess progress and maintain accurate records of learning.
• Build positive relationships with learners, families and professionals involved in the learner's education.
• Ensure all sessions are delivered in a safe, professional and engaging manner.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum 1 year of SEND experience.
• Minimum 1 year of teaching experience within the UK.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
• Strong understanding of adapting teaching approaches for learners with additional needs.
• Ability to work independently and manage planning and preparation responsibilities.
• Reliable transport and willingness to travel within Rossendale and surrounding areas.

Availability

• Tuition sessions take place during daytime hours, therefore daytime availability is essential.
• Flexible hours available based on learner referrals.

Pay

• £27-£30 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications.
