EHCP Coordinator

£290 per day

6 month initial contract

Remote working available - North London

Spencer Clarke Group are working with a Local Authority in North London to recruit a number of experienced EHCP Coordinators to join their SEND team. This role focuses on supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring their Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) are high-quality and legally compliant.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience in coordinating or contributing to the EHCP process within a local authority setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEND legislation, including the SEND Code of Practice and the Children and Families Act 2014.
  • Ability to manage a demanding caseload, meet statutory deadlines, and prioritise work effectively under pressure.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Act as the main point of contact for families and settings throughout the EHCP process to provide guidance and support.
  • Ensure EHCPs are tailored to the individual needs, aspirations, and goals of each child or young person.
  • Work closely with educational settings to ensure provision specified in the EHCP is being delivered.

Skills required:

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively to deliver effective and coordinated support.
  • Thorough attention to detail for drafting EHCPs and maintaining up-to-date case records.
  • Able to handle sensitive situations with empathy, professionalism and care.
