EHC Plan Writer
£250 - £270 per day

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking 10 hardworking and experienced EHC Plan writers to support our local authority client in the North of England by completing a minimum of 2 plans per day.
The EHC Plan writers will ensure that Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plans are high quality, person-centred, and fully reflect the needs and wants of the child or young person with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Essential Requirements:
- Significant experience of working for a local authority.
- Strong understanding of statutory processes relating to EHC needs assessments and plans.
- Excellent writing skills with experience in the production of high quality EHCPs.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Lead on the assessment and development of strong, outcome-focused EHC Plans.
- Actively facilitate and participate in co-production meetings with children, young people, parents/carers, and multi-agency professionals.
- Ensure timely and accurate amendments to EHC Plans following co-production discussions, ensuring the child/young person's voice is central.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement through peer-to-peer moderation, sharing constructive feedback and best practice.
Skills required:
- Able to work collaboratively with professionals and families to secure positive outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring plans are accurate, clear, and legally compliant.
- Strong time management and organisational skills to ensure that a minimum of 2 plans per day can be completed.
