We are looking for a confident, enthusiastic, and reliable Cover Supervisor to join our friendly primary school team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about education and working with children, whether you are considering a future teaching career or already have experience within a school setting.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring continuity of learning during teacher absences by supervising classes and supporting pupils in a positive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise classes across the primary age range during teacher absences
- Deliver pre-planned lessons and activities provided by teaching staff
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Support pupils in completing tasks and engaging with learning
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and behaviour
- Support the wider school community when required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational or childcare setting
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Confidence leading groups of pupils independently
- A calm, adaptable, and professional approach
- A passion for supporting children's learning and development
- Have an enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
