Contact & Referral Officer (MASH) **
We are working in partnership with a Local Authority in the Croydon area who are looking to appoint a Contact & Referral Officer to work within their MASH Service.
Contract - 3-6 Month agency contract with a view to being extended on an ongoing basis.
Working Hours - Full time position. (36 hours per week)
Location – CRO. (Hybrid 2/3 days in the office)
Rate of Pay - £18.95+ per hour. (negotiable on experience)
As a Contact & Referral Officer, you will play a key role towards delivering these outcomes and providing a high-quality service to local residents.
You will work closely alongside MASH Team Manager’s, Social Worker’s, Senior Early Help Navigator’s, and MASH partners. You will have a key role, being the first point of contact for professional referrers and residents with Croydon’s MASH.
About the Role:
- Support the MASH transformation working alongside social workers, managers, and partners in embedding new approaches to MASH process and practice to ensure a timely, consistent, and high-quality service to the residents of Croydon.
- Process all enquiries, referrals, and service / information requests accurately and promptly highlight any urgent matters to the MASH Team Manager accordingly.
- Ensure the effective implementation and use of the Children’s Portal ensuring that the quality of information provided supports high quality referrals.
- Support the training of partners alongside colleagues in the MASH to enhance learning and support the continuous improvement of the MASH.
- Respond politely, efficiently, and sympathetically to enquiries from professional organisations, e.g., Health, Police, Education, Probation, and the Courts and from members of the public.
- To actively listen to assess and clarify the needs of the enquirer.
Candidate Requirements:
- MASH Referrals.
- MASH Information Requests.
- Public Sector / Local Authority Experience.
