Children's Resource Worker

We are currently recruiting Residential Resource Workers to support children and young people within residential care settings across the Middlesbrough area. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced support workers who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people.

As a Residential Resource Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to children and young people within a residential home environment. You will help create a safe, nurturing, and positive atmosphere while promoting independence, wellbeing, and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day support to children and young people in residential care.
• Build positive and professional relationships with residents.
• Support with daily routines, activities, education, and appointments.
• Promote the safety, welfare, and wellbeing of young people at all times.
• Encourage independence, confidence, and positive outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records and complete reports as required.
• Work in line with safeguarding procedures, policies, and care plans.

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children and young people in a residential care setting.
• A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
• Flexible approach to working shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins where required.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential.

Contract Type: Temporary (3-6 months with expectation of an extension)
Pay Rate: £15.58
Working pattern - 37 hours per week, onsite
