Childcare Sufficiency Officer

We are currently working with a Local Authority in Barnsley to appoint an experienced Childcare Sufficiency Officer to join their team!
As a Childcare Sufficiency Officer, you will work collaboratively with local authority teams, schools, families, and childcare providers to assess supply and demand, expand childcare provision (including wraparound services), and ensure accessibility for all children and families, including those with SEND.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with local authority teams, schools, families, and childcare providers to assess supply and demand.
- Expand childcare provision, including wraparound services, to meet the needs of children and families, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
- Ensure compliance with statutory duties related to childcare sufficiency.
- Work closely with diverse stakeholders, including private providers, childminders, community organisations, and early years settings.
