Capital Programme Manager (Schools)

Location: South Coast

Contract: 3-months ongoing

Pay: Inside IR35 – Negotiable DOE

 

Our client, a local authority in the South, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Capital Programme Manager to oversee their Children's Services capital programme, with a focus on school infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in coordinating resources, managing projects, and driving positive change within the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate programme and project resources, ensuring accountability for performance, progress, and timeliness of the Children’s Services capital programme.
  • Utilize project management skills to oversee and manage change in the delivery of workstreams and transformational projects aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Oversee a large number of projects to ensure clear purpose, scope, outcomes, and communication, and manage delivery to time and budget.
  • Responsible for daily programme management, including governance, planning, performance, budget, and coordination of projects.

 

Specific Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree qualified, preferably in the built environment.
  • Postgraduate specialization degree level and commensurate professional experience.
  • PRINCE2/PMP/RICS or equivalent project management qualification or equivalent professional experience.
  • Good understanding and proven delivery of programme management within a local authority and politically stimulating environment.
