Asset Information Officer

Location: South East England
Rate: £560 per day Outside IR35
Contract: 6 - months

Spencer Clarke Group are recruiting for an Asset Information Officer on behalf of a local authority to own and improve the quality of housing asset and compliance data.

This is a data-led role at the centre of asset management and compliance, ensuring property-level records are accurate, defensible and fit for reporting, assurance statements, and investment decisions. You will work closely with the Housing service and the corporate data function to build sustainable data standards and architecture.

Responsibilities include:

  • Owning and reconciling asset and compliance data across the housing management system, contractor records, and stock condition survey outputs
  • Cleansing and preparing data for loading into NEC Housing, and keeping it accurate once live
  • Providing first-line data sign-off for NEC Housing module go-lives
  • Producing and assuring key regulatory returns and evidence packs, including Tenant Satisfaction Measures, SDR/LAHS-type statutory reporting, and wider regulatory engagement support
  • Building documentation of the data model, ownership, flows, and gaps so the service is not reliant on undocumented knowledge
  • Producing clear, plain-English reporting for leadership, members, residents, auditors, and regulators
  • Supporting compliance evidence trails linked to current and upcoming regulatory requirements

About you:

  • Strong experience owning, cleansing, and assuring housing asset and compliance data within a social landlord setting
  • Advanced Excel, confident working with datasets, reconciliation, validation, and data quality controls
  • Working knowledge of Power BI and an ability to communicate insight clearly
  • Comfortable working to fixed regulatory deadlines
  • Ideally some exposure to SQL, housing management systems and asset/compliance reporting
