An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join a fast growing & long standing company based in Carnforth on a permanent basis. 

As Accounts Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining an efficient, organised and accurate finance function for the business. As an Accounts Assistant you will be responsible or assisting with a variety of day-to day financial operations, within the department.

You’ll be someone naturally great with numbers & detail because the role includes ensuring accurate information is provided across the business but the key to success is experience within a high volume accounts role!

About the role

Based in Carnforth you will be responsible for: 

  • Raising sales invoices, ensuring the VAT is applied correctly
  • Assisting the Financial Controller with accounting duties
  • Resolve any sales related queries identified by other staff such as raising credit notes
  • Reconciliation and processing of monthly credit card expenses
  • Posting of accounting journals into our accounting package

About you

The ideal candidate for this position must have:

  • Experience with high volume ledgers (sales and/or purchase ledger)
  • AAT qualified is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to handle large data sets accurately
  • Experience within a similar accounts role
