Meet the Team - Jolie Moon

1-2 minutes

We recently caught up with Recruitment Consultant, Jolie Moon, to discover more about her career path so far and what motivates her at work.

How long have you worked at Spencer Clarke Group?

I began my journey here at Spencer Clarke Group in May 2023. As soon as I joined, I knew this was the place for me! Everyone was so friendly which made my start bliss.

What markets do you specialise in?

I specialise in primary education recruitment around East Lancashire and Lancaster. Some of the main areas I cover are Blackburn, Burnley and Nelson.

What do you love most about what you do?

I love when I successfully get my candidates a role in their dream jobs and it being a perfect fit. I also love the fact that I can keep in touch with my educational background. Working in recruitment is such a rewarding role when you know you have helped someone achieve their dream job.

What motivates you at work?

There are many things that motivate me at work. However, some of the main things are the positive work environment as this makes such a difference to your days. Getting positive feedback from the schools that I have recruited for. Lastly, knowing that everyone is always there to help and we all work as a team.

How would you describe working at Spencer Clarke Group?

Spencer Clarke Group is an unreal place to work for. The days are always fun and never boring! It’s such an encouraging and supportive office which makes you always feel relaxed. Your hard work never goes unnoticed and you are always rewarded for it.

Tell us about your career path so far!

Before beginning my career in recruitment, I was a SEN Teaching Assistant for a year and a half at a school based in Chorley. I then went onto doing my QTS through a SCITT programme. After that, I jumped straight into recruitment and have now been working within education around east Lancashire since August 2022.

How would your colleagues describe you?

I think they would describe me as hardworking, always positive and very resourceful.

Where are we most likely to find you outside of work?

Outside of work, you will most likely find me out on a nice long countryside walk or dog sitting my friends dogs!

Tell us something we’d never guess about you!

I drive a bright green Volkswagen Beetle with astro turf and plants inside. There is also a picture of Taylor Swift’s face on the passenger seat (it scares most people when they walk past in the mornings)!

What’s next for you at Spencer Clarke Group?

My plan is to carry on building strong positive relationships with the schools I work with and keep pushing myself to get more candidates into their dream jobs.
