Ward Manager (Neurorehabilitation)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 35 hours per week worked on a rota basis
Salary: Up to £52,591 per annum
Location: York
We are looking to recruit a Ward Manager for our private clients neurological centre in York on a permanent basis.
The Neurological Centre in York is an innovative, purpose-built independent hospital providing specialist neurobehavioral assessment and post-acute rehabilitation for people with a non-progressive acquired brain injury.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership by acting as a positive role model, who practices evidence-based care, to ensure high standards of clinical care as well as ensuring that the people we support achieve their goals.
- Provide the clinical and operational leadership daily ensuring that exceptional standards of care are adhered to all times.
- Establish highest care standards to meet or exceed current standards as well as ensuring that risk management strategies are in place.
- Take an effective role in staff management, including recruitment and retention, ensuring all staff receive the necessary training and professional development they require.
- Managing rostering, holiday and sickness ensuring that the unit is always appropriately staffed.
Requirements:
- An RMN/RNLD nursing qualification, registered with the NMC.
- Experience of managing a ward or large staff team effectively.
- Demonstrate experience and good knowledge of experience of working within the Mental Health Act.
- Proven experience of managing complex and diverse care/rehabilitation services.
