Spencer Clarke Group is currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Unqualified Teaching Assistant to support schools across Burnley.

About the Role
As an Unqualified Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils achieve their full potential. You will play a key role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, supporting both academic progress and personal development.
You may be required to support pupils on a one-to-one basis, work with small groups, or assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting teachers in the delivery of lessons and classroom activities.
- Working with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning.
- Assisting pupils who may require additional support with their educational and social development.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and helping to maintain a productive learning environment.
- Preparing and organising classroom resources and learning materials.
- Supervising pupils during classroom activities, break times, and educational visits where required.
- Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) where appropriate.
- Promoting safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusion at all times.
- Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
Requirements
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, adaptable, and positive approach.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
- A willingness to learn and develop within an educational setting.
- An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Spencer Clarke Group.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
