We are seeking dedicated and resilient Behaviour Support Assistants to work across a range of Primary and Secondary Schools in Central Manchester from September 2026. This is a full-time position offered through a reputable education agency, providing an excellent opportunity to gain valuable school-based experience while making a genuine difference in students'students' lives.
The Role
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs.
- Build positive relationships and act as a consistent role model.
- Assist teachers in managing classroom behaviour and engagement.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students who require additional guidance.
- Help implement behaviour management strategies and individual support plans.
- Promote a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
Ideal Candidate
We welcome applications from individuals who:
- Have experience working with children or young people in education, care, youth work, sports coaching, mentoring, or similar settings.
- Are confident, patient and able to remain calm under pressure.
- Have strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Are passionate about supporting students with additional needs.
- Hold a DBSDBS on the Update Service or are willing to obtain one.
