We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support pupils and teaching staff within a welcoming and inclusive school environment based in Blyth, Northumberland. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and committed to helping children achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils individually and in small groups to enhance learning and engagement.
- Assist teachers in delivering lessons and classroom activities.
- Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
- Support pupils with additional learning, behavioural, or emotional needs where required.
- Encourage pupil independence, confidence, and personal development.
- Assist with classroom preparation and organisation of learning resources.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing throughout the school day.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are advantageous but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, caring, and supportive approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
