Spencer Clarke Group is currently recruiting for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a welcoming and inclusive primary school.
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual with proven experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom, helping them to achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Implement individual education plans and support strategies.
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote pupil independence.
- Support pupils with their social, emotional, and communication needs.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals where required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
- Strong understanding of a range of Special Educational Needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, adaptable, and committed to supporting children's development.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
