We are looking for a dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in Blackpool.
As part of a supportive team, you will work closely with teachers to deliver high-quality learning experiences, provide tailored support to students, and make a real impact in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver learning activities for individuals and small groups under the direction of a qualified teacher
- Adapt and differentiate work to suit pupils' needs
- Track and report on pupil progress and engagement
- Provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs (e.g. SEN, EAL, high ability)
- Contribute to classroom planning, preparation of materials, and displays
- Support students' emotional wellbeing and encourage independence
- Supervise pupils during breaktimes, school trips, and in the classroom
- Follow safeguarding, confidentiality and health & safety procedures at all times
You will need to have:
- A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience supporting children or young people in an educational setting
- Confidence working with students with a range of abilities and needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, resilient and flexible attitude
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
