Teacher Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in Blackpool.

As part of a supportive team, you will work closely with teachers to deliver high-quality learning experiences, provide tailored support to students, and make a real impact in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver learning activities for individuals and small groups under the direction of a qualified teacher
• Adapt and differentiate work to suit pupils' needs
• Track and report on pupil progress and engagement
• Provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs (e.g. SEN, EAL, high ability)
• Contribute to classroom planning, preparation of materials, and displays
• Support students' emotional wellbeing and encourage independence
• Supervise pupils during breaktimes, school trips, and in the classroom
• Follow safeguarding, confidentiality and health & safety procedures at all times

You will need to have:

• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
• Experience supporting children or young people in an educational setting
• Confidence working with students with a range of abilities and needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, resilient and flexible attitude
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
