About the Role
We are seeking flexible and dedicated Supply Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of SEN and SEMH schools in Central and South Manchester. This is a day-to-day supply role, ideal for candidates looking for flexible working while gaining experience in different school settings.
You will support both Primary and Secondary aged pupils, working in a range of environments where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide classroom support across SEN and SEMH settings on a day-to-day basis
- Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
- Support students with behavioural, emotional, and learning needs
- Assist in managing challenging behaviour using appropriate strategies
- Adapt quickly to different school environments and routines
- Provide personal care where required, maintaining dignity and safeguarding standards
Essential Requirements
- Availability to work at least 3 days per week
- Previous experience working with children or young people (SEN/SEMH experience preferred)
- Flexible and adaptable approach to working in different schools
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Willingness to provide personal care if required
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable
- Experience across both Primary and Secondary settings
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or support work
