Hours: 8:30am - 3:30/4:00pm
Working Pattern: Minimum 3 days per week

About the Role

We are seeking flexible and dedicated Supply Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of SEN and SEMH schools in Central and South Manchester. This is a day-to-day supply role, ideal for candidates looking for flexible working while gaining experience in different school settings.

You will support both Primary and Secondary aged pupils, working in a range of environments where no two days are the same.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom support across SEN and SEMH settings on a day-to-day basis
  • Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
  • Support students with behavioural, emotional, and learning needs
  • Assist in managing challenging behaviour using appropriate strategies
  • Adapt quickly to different school environments and routines
  • Provide personal care where required, maintaining dignity and safeguarding standards

Essential Requirements

  • Availability to work at least 3 days per week
  • Previous experience working with children or young people (SEN/SEMH experience preferred)
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to working in different schools
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Willingness to provide personal care if required
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Desirable

  • Experience across both Primary and Secondary settings
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or support work
