Job description
Spencer Clarke Group are working closely alongside a Local Authority in West Yorkshire to assist with the appointment of a Street Lighting Clerk of Works on an initial 6-month contract.
We are looking to speak to experienced Clerk of Works, with extensive hands-on experience of local authority street lighting maintenance, who have ideally worked for a Local Authority previously.
Contract Details
Pay Scale – INSIDE IR35 – £30-£35 per hour (the hourly rate is negotiable, so please still get in touch if you work to a higher rate)
Location – Remote working, with site visits required to various sites in Bradford
Contract Length – 6 months, with possibility of extension
The Key duties of the role include:
- Report to the Street Lighting Supervisor and to agree joint quality control procedures with the Project Team
- Prepare work schedules from high volumes of asset survey data
- Continuously monitor work on site in accordance with the Contractors Method Statements
- Carry out regular site visits to ensure that materials, construction standards and site practices are satisfactory
- Carry out duties to meet Health and Safety regulations, including CDM regulations on site and to monitor contractors on HS&E Practices
