Strategic Assets Surveyor
Location: Yorkshire
Rate: £450 per day
Contract: 6 Months
Spencer Clarke Group are recruiting for an experienced Strategic Assets Surveyor to support the development of a comprehensive Asset Strategy / Plan for a local authority property portfolio.
This is a hands-on role combining asset and condition insight with strong analysis and report writing, helping shape how a diverse estate is managed, optimised, and prioritised.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the preparation of a strategic asset management strategy and plan
- Undertaking condition and asset assessments across the estate
- Analysing utilisation, performance, lifecycle costs and rationalisation opportunities
- Providing professional surveying advice across operational and non-operational assets
- Supporting investment prioritisation and efficiency planning
- Producing clear reporting and engaging stakeholders across the council
About you:
- Chartered Surveyor (MRICS preferred) or equivalent relevant experience
- Strong local authority asset management strategy/plan experience
- Excellent analytical and report-writing capability
- Confident stakeholder management, able to work with senior leadership
- Practical, outcome-focused approach and able to work at pace
