Spencer Clarke Group are searching for a service manager within the Gateshead borough, on behalf of one of our clients. Within this role you will be required to travel across the borough, so having a Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle is crucial for this role. Having experience within adult social care both within front door service and hospital is also essential.

What you will do:

• Operationally manage the staff, activities and budget within Adult Social care ensuring it meets its service and objectives financially, along with acting as the budget holder for the designated assessment services ensuring budgets are managed effectively.
• Carry out capability and disciplinary investigations where appropriate and to respond effectively to service users' complaints and where appropriate act as adjudicating officer to ensure continuous improvement within the services.
• To develop annual service and improvement plans that are based on achieving outcomes for adults with reference to identified performance indicators.
• Managing employees in accordance with the clients policies and procedures including effective supervision and appraisal and the

What we're looking for:

• Social work qualification or equivalent, for example MA or BA in social work, Dip SW CQSW or CSS.
• Management qualification and / or significant management experience.
• Registered currently with Social Work England.
• You will need to have extensive experience within social care and related services.
• Considerable experience as a team manager or the equivalent within social care.
