Senior Specialist Speech and Language Therapist
Permanent
Part time - 24 hours per week
Salary: £47,810 - £54,710 (FTE) per annum DOE
Located in Milton Keynes
We are looking to recruit a Senior Specialist Speech and Language Therapist for our private clients specialist residential centre on a permanent basis in Milton Keynes.
The specialist residential centre provides continuing rehabilitation, specialist care and support for people with acquired brain injury (ABI) and traumatic brain injury (TBI).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess how a person's communication impacts on their day to day life and provide intervention as appropriate.
- Assess communication and provide a management plan and rehabilitation (as appropriate) seeking specialist assessments as required.
- Provide training to staff and our service users social network.
- Providing strategic, professional leadership to the multi-disciplinary rehabilitation team.
Requirements:
- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
- Registered with the HCPC.
- Minimum 4 years qualified experience encompassing complex case management.
- Specialist knowledge of SaLT models and interventions in ABI e.g. social communication, cognitive communication, communication partner training.
- Able to manage complex dysphagia within an adult neurology caseload
