Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Senior Placements Officer for a local authority client in East London.
In this role, you will lead the brokerage of care services for adults with social care needs, ensuring timely, cost-effective placements while supporting junior staff and driving continuous service improvement.
Key Duties:
- Lead the commissioning and brokerage of care services, ensuring timely and cost-effective placements.
- Support and supervise junior staff, providing guidance and oversight.
- Manage hospital and community referrals, meeting NHSE discharge targets and care needs.
- Drive service improvements and respond to complex enquiries and complaints.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Proven experience commissioning and brokering adult social care services effectively and efficiently.
- Skilled in supervising staff and providing leadership in a fast-paced care environment.
- Experienced in managing hospital discharges and community referrals within strict timeframes.
- Strong background in service improvement, stakeholder engagement, and handling complex enquiries.
What's on offer:
Salary: £23ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
