Senior Occupational Therapist - Access and Prevention Team

Location: Dudley based, hybrid working

Rate of pay: £36.62p/h

Contract: Full time locum contract

Our local authority client are recruiting a Senior Occupational Therapist for their Access and Prevention Team in Dudley.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments for adults and children with disabilities or illnesses affecting daily living.
• Recommend equipment and home adaptations to support independence and wellbeing.
• Carry out duty screenings, remote assessments, same-day visits, and equipment provisions.
• Undertake complex assessments for specialist equipment and major adaptations.
• Work across two teams - Duty Team (screening, signposting, urgent assessments) and Adaptations Team (major adaptations, DFG, and bathing assessments).
• Collaborate with housing and home improvement services, including Housing OT and the Home Improvement team.

Requirements:

• A recognised degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Experience of working with People of all ages who have a physical disability, children and older people in a community or hospital setting.
• Able to assess for major adaptations to meet complex needs for children and adults.
