Senior Finance Business Partner
a Local Authority in South London who are looking to appoint a talented Senior Finance Business Partner on an Interim basis are working with Spencer Clarke Group to find their next successful candidate.
What's on offer:
- Rate of Pay: £365 - £500 per day, inside IR35. *negotiable based on experience.
- Hybrid working 1-2 days in office per week
- Contract type: Contract (37hrs a week)
- Hours: 09:00 -17:30 Monday to Friday
About the role:
This role will be supporting the Place Directorate; therefore the candidate should have experience in dealing with that group of services.
Based in South London (Hybrid):
Responsibilities:
- You will provide financial business partnering support to the corporate core and front line service areas of the Council.
- You will be required to act as a critical friend to the Council, delivering insightful financial analysis to support business improvement and change.
- Working closely with the Strategic Finance Business Partners and the Head of Finance Business Partnering, you will provide financial management support and advice to service areas across the core financial cycle of budget setting, budget monitoring and closing of the accounts.
- You will support the management of financial risk to protect the financial health of the Council and to ensure financial planning is robust and aligned to Council priorities.
About you:
You will have the following experience:
- Experience across in the place directorate.
- Knowledge of local authority accounting including the Statement of Recommended Practice and other relevant codes of practice.
- Part qualified, AAT, CCAB or CIMA.
