EBSA Tutor Required - Durham Area

Position: English, Maths & Science Tutor (EBSA Learner)
Location: Durham Area
Rate: £27-£30 per hour

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced tutor to support a learner with Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA) in the Durham area.

The successful candidate will provide 1:1 tuition in English, Maths and Science, delivering engaging, personalised sessions that build confidence, encourage engagement, and support academic progress.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children and young people with additional needs, anxiety, or EBSA.
• Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with learners.
• Strong subject knowledge in English, Maths and Science.
• Patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.

The Role:

• Deliver tailored 1:1 tuition in a community or home setting.
• Plan and adapt lessons to meet the learner's individual needs.
• Monitor progress and provide session feedback.
• Work collaboratively with families and professionals to support positive outcomes.
