We are recruiting a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive SEN school in Skelmersdale. This is a full-time role starting in September, working Monday to Friday during term time.

About the Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who have a range of additional needs including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and physical or sensory impairments. You will play a vital role in supporting both their learning and wellbeing throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support

  • Assist with learning activities and behaviour management

  • Help implement individual education and support plans

  • Support students with personal care if required

  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

Who We're Looking For:

  • Care Work

  • Teaching Assistance

  • Personal experience supporting someone with SEN

You must be:

  • Resilient, with a calm and caring nature

  • Proactive, able to take initiative and adapt to student needs

  • Passionate about inclusive education and helping every child succeed

  • Reliable, with good communication and teamwork skills
