SEND Caseworkers
Up to £300 per day

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a number of experienced SEND Caseworkers to join the SEND Assessment team of a South West Local Authority.
The SEND Caseworkers will monitor ongoing provision to ensure the Local Authority is meeting its statutory responsibilities and achieving the most positive outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Essential Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience of working as a SEND Caseworker within a Local Authority SEND Team.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory guidance, particularly the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice.
- Proven experience of working with families and schools to create draft and final Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Duties include but not limited to:
- Lead and coordinate Education, Health and Care (EHC) needs assessments, ensuring compliance with statutory timescales.
- Act as the named officer for a caseload of young people with SEND, ensuring that the provision outlined in the EHCP is being delivered effectively and within the statutory timeframe.
- Maintain effective communication with colleagues across education, health, and social care services to support a coordinated, multi-agency approach to meeting children and young people's SEND needs.
Skills required:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with families and professionals.
- Excellent organisation skills, being able to manage multiple cases and prioritise to meet deadlines.
- Able to effectively use IT systems for the preparation and amendment of statutory documents.
