Spencer Clarke Group are seeking two experienced SEND Case Officers to join the SEND team of a London Local Authority with a focus on managing and completing reviews of Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans.

The SEND Case Officers will monitor the ongoing provision for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring their plan remains relevant and accurately reflects their current needs.

Essential Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience of working as a SEND Case Officer within a Local Authority Team.
  • A strong working knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice 2015 and the Children and Families Act 2014.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload with multiple competing priorities.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Manage and oversee a caseload of children and young people with EHCPs, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Ensure EHC plans remain child-centred, outcome-focused, and legally compliant.
  • Maintain accurate records of review meetings, outcomes, and plan amendments.

Skills required:

  • Excellent written communication to draft letters, reports, and plan amendments clearly and professionally.
  • Able to build positive working relationships with families, schools, and partner agencies.
  • Strong attention to detail when reviewing documents and EHC plans to ensure accuracy and consistency.
