SEND Case Officer

£280 - £300 per day

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an experienced SEND Case Officer to support pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) within a school in Manchester.

The SEND Case Officer will be responsible for planning, co-ordinating and facilitating Annual reviews, working collaboratively with parents, young people and education professionals to ensure that provision remains appropriate.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience working as a SEND Case Officer.
  • Solid understanding of SEND legislation including the SEND Code of Practice 2015 and The Children and Families Act 2014.
  • Strong knowledge of Education, Health and Care (EHC) processes and statutory requirements.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Co-ordinate and facilitate Annual and Emergency Review meetings for pupils with EHCPs, ensuring all statutory requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Liaise with pupils, parents/carers, Local Authorities and external agencies to ensure reviews are collaborative, accurate and reflect each pupil's current needs and progress.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete all administrative tasks related to the Annual Review process, including updating internal systems.

Skills required:

  • Excellent organisation and time management to handle multiple reviews whilst meeting statutory deadlines.
  • Able to communicate effectively and build strong working relationships with pupils, parents and professionals.
  • Strong attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and documentation.
