Teaching Assistant - Full Time

Location: Manchester
Contract: Full Time, Monday to Friday
Start Date: September 2026
Employment: Initially via agency, with the potential for a longer-term opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive specialist school in Manchester for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join the team from September.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference by supporting children and young people with a range of additional learning needs in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils both in the classroom and on a one-to-one basis
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
• Encourage students' academic, social, and emotional development
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement with learning
• Help prepare learning resources and classroom activities
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals to support individual learning plans

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with children or young people (school or care experience is desirable)
• Is patient, compassionate, and resilient
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Can build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
• Is flexible, proactive, and willing to learn
• Holds a Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
