We are seeking a dedicated and qualified SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Blackburn. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with a child in Year 2, providing vital support tailored to their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to a child with SEN in Year 2, assisting them with their learning and development.
  • Implement personalised learning plans and strategies to meet the child's specific educational requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Utilise your expertise in behavior management techniques to support the child's social and emotional well-being.
  • Monitor and track the child's progress, providing feedback to the relevant stakeholders as necessary.

Requirements:

  • A qualification related to working with children in schools is essential.
  • Proven experience working with SEN children and supporting their learning within a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of various SEN conditions and their impact on learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Desirable: Experience with behavior management strategies and techniques.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
