Residential Children's Home Manager

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Residential Children's Home Manager for a local authority based in Berkshire.

In this role, you will lead and develop a brand-new residential service, ensuring high-quality, therapeutic care for children and young people while managing two homes in line with Ofsted standards and the boroughs vision for localised, family-focused support.

Key Duties:

• Lead and manage two children's residential homes, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards.
• Recruit, develop and support a skilled staff team, embedding a therapeutic practice model across the service.
• Oversee budgets, service planning and quality assurance to deliver high standards of care.
• Work closely with internal teams and partners to maintain placements near children's communities and networks.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

• Proven experience managing children's residential homes, including Ofsted registration and compliance.
• Strong background in leading and supporting staff teams using therapeutic approaches.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and deliver high-quality, child-centred services.
• Experience working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to support children with complex needs.

What's on offer:

Salary: £342+ per day

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
