Religious Education Teacher - Secondary School - Preston
Start Date: ASAP | Contract: Until End of Academic Year
A secondary school in Preston is seeking to appoint a Religious Education Teacher to join their Humanities department as soon as possible. This is a full-time position continuing until the end of the academic year.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Religious Education across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. There may also be the opportunity to teach additional Humanities subjects at Key Stage 3, depending on experience and timetable requirements.
The Role:
Teaching Religious Education to KS3 and KS4 students
Planning, delivering and assessing engaging lessons in line with the curriculum
Supporting pupils of varying abilities to achieve strong academic outcomes
Potentially teaching additional KS3 Humanities lessons
Contributing positively to the wider school community
Experience delivering Health and Social Care BTEC would be advantageous but is not essential.

The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Have experience teaching Religious Education at KS3 and KS4
Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
Be adaptable and willing to contribute across the Humanities department

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
