My client in Darlington are looking to appoint a talented Purchasing & Contracts Officer on a Contract basis.
The purpose of this role is to provide general purchasing, contract monitoring and surveying support for Construction.
What's on offer:
- Salary: £14+ per hour, inside IR35
*negotiable based on experience

- Monday to Friday 8:00 to 16:00
About the role:
Based in Darlington (Hybrid):
- Responsible for the accurate gathering of prices or quotations for goods and services timely order processing for capital works and maintenance projects
- Responsible for the accurate gathering of prices or quotations for goods and services timely order processing for capital works and maintenance projects
- Checking and processing of invoices, dealing with suppliers/contractors on invoice queries, including utility bills for New Build Housing schemes
- Administration and monitoring of purchasing and purchasing reconciliation
About you:
You will have the following experiences:
- Extensive experience in a similar role
- Approximately 3 years' experience of working in procurement in a large, multi-functional organisation
- Approximately one years' experience of administrative functions within a civil engineering/building environment
- Local Authority experience is essential
