Payroll Officer
My client is a Local Authority in Bedford who are looking to appoint a talented Direct Payments Officer on a Contract basis
About the role:
Based in North London (Hybrid):
To provide an efficient and effective HR and Payroll administrative service to the Council, Schools and external clients, for the employee lifecycle from contracts all the way through to leavers.
You will be responsible for:
- Processing HR/Payroll transactions to ensure all work types are processed accurately within specified HR/Payroll deadlines.
- Calculate redundancy payments & assist in the calculation of payments of Statutory and voluntary deductions.
- Provide advice and guidance to employees, Schools and external clients on terms and conditions of employment, policies and procedures and the transactional services provided.
About you:
You will have the following experiences:
- Must be educated to NVQ level 3 or A level equivalent with well-developed numeracy skills.
- Must have significant experience and good working knowledge of Payroll and HR with a thorough understanding of HR/Payroll policies and procedures.
What's on offer:
- Rate of pay: £20 - £25+ per hour.
