Occupational Therapy Team Manager (Children's Services)

Locations: Blackburn with Darwen / Hybrid working

Pay: £45 per hour (umbrella rate)

Hours: 37 per week, Monday to Friday

Contract: 3 months initially (potential for extension)

Our Local Authority client are looking to appoint an Occupational Therapy Team Manager to manage the Occupational Therapy Service within the Children's Disability Service.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage the Occupational Therapists responsible for the assessment of children and young people referred to the service and identified as requires aids and adaptations within the home and/or educational setting.
  • Oversee the recommendation and organisation of the supply of equipment, demonstration and review of the equipment provided to children and young people.
  • Work with Council policies and procedures and relevant legislation, to ensure that those children referred to the service are supported to maximise independence and through the recommendation of equipment and adaptations.

Requirements:

  • A recognised degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • 3 years relevant experience with at least one year being in the specialist area of paediatrics.
  • Experience of supervision and line management.
