Occupational Therapy Assistant

3-Month Contract

Up to £20 per hour

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in our clients adaptations team, focusing on contacting and assessing residents who are awaiting adaptations to make their properties accessible. You will work closely with families of disabled children, older individuals, and adults with disabilities or long-term health conditions to enhance their independence through the provision of equipment and adaptations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments of individuals awaiting adaptations, identifying their needs and requirements.
  • Collaborate with families and individuals to provide appropriate support and recommendations for adaptations and equipment.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills in all interactions with clients and stakeholders.
  • Utilise IT processes and applications effectively to manage documentation and communication efficiently.
  • Deliver exceptional customer care, ensuring the highest level of satisfaction for all service users.
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapists to assist in social care assessments and further develop your skills in the field.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience working in customer care, preferably within a healthcare or social care setting.
  • Familiarity with working with older individuals or people with disabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse groups of individuals.
  • Proficiency in IT processes and applications relevant to the role.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
