Adult Social Care, Reablement (Mental Health)

3 month initial contract with the view of extension

Pay : £22.83 - £29.42 per hour

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our clients Mental Health Reablement Team as an Occupational Therapist for a 3 month initial contract, with potential for extension.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide and review interventions to adults with mental health issues within the community or upon discharge from psychiatric hospital. This will include the use of appropriate assessment and intervention tools that support best practice and capture the physical, mental health and social care needs of service users and carers.
  • Undertake specialist OT assessments for other members of the Reablement Team to support their Reablement interventions.

  • Deliver Reablement interventions, working creatively to prevent and/or reduce needs resulting from mental ill health, and also provide support to other members of the team through specialist OT assessment, and may prescribe equipment when appropriate.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registered Occupational Therapist with at least one recognised OT qualification.
  • Knowledge of OT theory, specialist assessments and interventions.
  • Qualified Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) / Approved Mental Capacity Professional (AMCP) or Best Interest Assessor (BIA) or willingness to train
