Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Solutions Officer for a Local Authority Client in Ilford.
In this role, you will manage housing cases, provide statutory housing advice, and work proactively to prevent and relieve homelessness.
Duties:
- Assess housing applications and homelessness cases in line with legislation and council policy.
- Manage a caseload, completing housing assessments, plans, and decisions within set timescales.
- Provide clear housing advice and identify practical solutions to prevent homelessness.
- Liaise with internal teams and external partners to secure appropriate housing outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Experience working within housing options, homelessness, or a related housing service.
- Practical knowledge of housing and homelessness legislation and statutory duties.
- Proven ability to manage a caseload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with vulnerable clients and partner agencies to achieve outcomes.
What's on offer:
Salary: £23ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
