Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Choices Case Officer for a local authority in Northwest Leicestershire.
In this role, you will manage a caseload of homelessness cases, providing expert housing advice and support to prevent homelessness and help vulnerable customers find sustainable housing solutions.
Duties:
- Manage a caseload of homelessness cases in line with current legislation.
- Provide comprehensive housing advice and support to vulnerable customers.
- Undertake homelessness assessments, investigations and make statutory decisions.
- Work with customers and partner agencies to prevent homelessness and secure suitable housing solutions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience managing a homelessness caseload under current legislation.
- Experience providing housing advice and homelessness prevention support.
- Experience working with vulnerable customers and partner agencies.
- Experience applying the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 in practice.
What's on offer:
Salary: £21ph+
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
