Help shape a brand-new specialist school from the very beginning.
A brand new SEN school is opening in January 2027, and we're looking for an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our founding team. Supporting children and young people aged 5-19 with Autism (ASD) and SEMH needs, you'll play a key role in creating a positive, inclusive learning environment where every pupil can succeed.


As an HLTA, you'll lead lessons, support classroom teaching, monitor pupil progress, and help develop the confidence and independence of our students while mentoring other Teaching Assistants.


We're looking for someone who has:

  • A HLTA qualification (Level 4 or equivalent)
  • GCSE English & Maths (Grade 4/C or above)
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND, particularly ASD and SEMH
  • Strong communication, classroom management and teamwork skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
